Cooking With Kids
Most evenings, I prepare dinner during the afternoon so that when everyone is “starving”, all I have to do is heat and serve. Unfortunately, my day got away from me and on this particular evening, dinner wasn't ready. Fortunately, our 2-year old wanted to help me make dinner. You might be thinking, can a 2-year old really help and cook in the kitchen? Yes! Not only did my toddler help me make dinner, we used this time as a way to explore:
1. Language
2. Counting
3. Dishwashing
4.
Recycling
Cooking with kids can be fun and is a great way to encourage higher learning. It might add a little more stress or cause a bit of a mess, but you’ll love spending time together while preparing your next meal.
